Cooler Master's $3 Billion Vietnam Investment: 40,000 Jobs in AI Server Cooling by 2029

Taiwan-based Cooler Master, a leading computer hardware manufacturer, has unveiled ambitious plans for a $3 billion investment in Vietnam.

The expansion targets Bac Ninh province's Gia Binh Industrial Park, where the company currently employs 1,300 workers producing cooling solutions.

Massive Workforce and Capital Growth

By 2029, Cooler Master aims to scale its operations to employ 40,000 workers while increasing its investment from the current $200 million.

The initial project received approval in January 2023, with capital boosted to $200 million by December 2024 and production commencing in July 2025.

Focus areas include manufacturing advanced cooling devices for AI servers, data centers, and machine learning infrastructure.

Strategic Push in Vietnam's Tech Hub

CEO Andy Lin shared these plans during a meeting with Bac Ninh authorities, requesting support for land leases, tax incentives, worker housing, and streamlined procedures.

Pham Hoang Son, chairman of the Bac Ninh People’s Committee, welcomed the initiative and pledged provincial backing to facilitate growth.

This move underscores Bac Ninh's status as a key foreign direct investment hub, home to major players like Samsung.

The expansion is poised to boost Vietnam's economy by creating thousands of high-tech jobs and attracting Cooler Master's suppliers and partners to the region.

Historically, Vietnam has drawn Taiwanese firms seeking diversified supply chains amid global tensions, positioning the country as an emerging manufacturing powerhouse.
