BEAMSTART (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the BEAMSTART website and related services from Singapore and Malaysia. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you use the service.

We aim to comply with Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act 2010 and, where applicable, Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012. This notice applies to clients and prospective clients whose personal data we collect or process.

Depending on how you use BEAMSTART, we may collect:

• ✓Content you post (news, jobs, deals, discussions, events)
• ✓IP address and basic device or browser information
• ✓Business registration details, if you provide them
• ✓Membership and billing status (processed via Stripe)

• ✓Show your profile and published content to the community
• ✓Send the sign-in codes and transactional messages you request
• ✓Send digests, deal confirmations, and other emails you opt into
• ✓Improve the product, prevent abuse, and provide support

We use cookies and similar technologies for sign-in sessions and to keep the site working reliably. Some cookies may be associated with your account while you are signed in. You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies; doing so may limit signed-in features.

Membership payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored on BEAMSTART servers. Stripe processes payment data under its own privacy policy.

We may share personal data with our subsidiary and associated companies, which must treat it as confidential and only for the purposes in this policy. We also use service providers that help us operate the platform (for example hosting, email delivery, and payment processing). We remain responsible for personal data under our control.

We may disclose personal information when required by law or legal process.

Personal data may be processed in Malaysia, Singapore, or other locations where we or our providers operate. We take steps to provide a comparable level of protection when data is processed outside Malaysia.

If you subscribe or join as a member, you may receive promotional emails such as newsletters, deal highlights, or event updates. You can opt out using the unsubscribe link in those emails. Transactional messages (such as sign-in codes and billing notices) are not marketing and may still be sent while your account is active.

Subject to applicable law, you may:

You can also edit or delete much of your profile content and close your account from the member portal. Access, correction, and other privacy requests can be made through our contact form.

We use procedural and technical safeguards to reduce unauthorized access, including encryption in transit (TLS) for sensitive transmissions and restricted access to systems that store personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

We need accurate personal data to operate membership and community features. If required information is not provided, we may be unable to deliver the service and may terminate the relationship.
