These memoranda of understanding pave the way for a full market launch in June 2026, featuring battery-swapping models like the Evo, Feliz II, and Viper.

Strategic Push into Southeast Asia's Booming Market

The Philippines represents one of Southeast Asia's largest motorcycle markets, where urban growth and rising fuel costs are driving demand for sustainable alternatives.

Distributors including Wheeltek Motor Sales, Gentrade International, and Superbikes Corporation will establish showrooms in key areas like Metro Manila, Cebu, Davao, Laguna, and Cavite.

Robust Battery-Swapping Infrastructure Ahead

VinFast plans to deploy approximately 30,000 battery-swapping stations nationwide to support seamless urban mobility.

This infrastructure addresses common EV challenges like charging times, adapting scooters to local roads and conditions.

Historically, VinFast, backed by Vingroup, has rapidly grown from domestic cars to global EVs, entering markets like the US and Europe before Southeast Asia.
