Vietnam's Dat Bike Secures $4M Funding from Thien Viet Securities to Power Electric Motorbike Expansion

Vietnam’s electric motorbike startup Dat Bike has secured a $4 million investment from local securities firm Thien Viet Securities JSC.

This funding arrives amid Vietnam’s accelerating shift to green transportation, highlighted by Hanoi’s plans to partially ban gasoline vehicles in inner city areas.

Dat Bike’s Funding Milestones

With this latest infusion, Dat Bike has now raised a total of $51 million in funding.

The prior Series B round in October 2025 delivered $22 million, led by F.C.C and Rebright Partners alongside Jungle Ventures, Cathay Venture, and AiViet Venture.

Strategic Investments for Growth

The new capital will expand production capacity, fortify the supply chain, upgrade the distribution network, and advance research and development efforts.

These moves position Dat Bike to scale operations rapidly and lay groundwork for regional expansion beyond Vietnam.

Vietnam’s Booming Two-Wheeler Market

Vietnam features over 77 million motorbikes on its roads, with around 3 million new units sold each year, ranking it among the world’s largest two-wheeler markets.

Electric motorbikes like those from Dat Bike offer vital solutions to urban mobility woes and support global net-zero emissions targets by 2050.

The company’s vertically integrated approach enables domestic design, engineering, and manufacturing, minimizing import dependencies and boosting efficiency.

Dat Bike’s production capacity has grown five-fold in the past two years, while its 3S store network aims for 100 locations nationwide by year-end.

Recently, Dat Bike launched a mass-market electric scooter to accelerate widespread adoption of green mobility in Vietnam.
