Building on a prior $1.85 million seed round led by Picus Capital with 2degrees and Iterative, this funding enables more installations amid Vietnam's rising electricity costs.

Founded in 2024, SmartSolar offers a zero-upfront-cost model, financing, installing, and maintaining rooftop solar systems for businesses like factories and fitness centers.

Clients benefit from solar power priced 15-25 percent below grid rates through long-term contracts, delivering immediate cost savings and energy independence.

Impact on Vietnam's SME Sector

Since launch, the company has deployed nearly 4 MWp of solar capacity, helping SMEs combat escalating energy expenses in a market hungry for affordable renewables.

CEO Kevin Junker emphasized that while equity fueled early growth, institutional debt unlocks the scale needed for broader market penetration.
