Ultrahuman Ring Pro Secures US Clearance: Renewed Challenge to Oura's Smart Ring Dominance

Bengaluru-based Ultrahuman has gained U.S. Customs approval for its new Ring Pro smart ring, paving the way for an aggressive re-entry into the key American market.

This follows a U.S. International Trade Commission ruling in October that restricted imports of Ultrahuman's prior Ring Air, costing the company up to $50 million in lost sales.

US Smart Ring Market Heats Up

The U.S. dominates the global smart ring sector, representing 60% of 4.4 million units sold worldwide in 2025 with a 59% year-over-year growth surge according to IDC.

Ultrahuman's U.S. market share climbed to 24.6% by Q2 2025 before plummeting to single digits amid restrictions, allowing Oura to boost its dominance to 85%.

Ring Pro Innovations and Launch

The redesigned Ring Pro boasts a unibody metal structure, extended battery life, and advanced on-device processing to resolve patent concerns.

Pre-orders are live in the U.S. at an early-bird price of $349 for the first 1,000 customers, standard at $399, with shipments beginning May 15.

CEO Mohit Kumar anticipates full U.S. scaling within five to six months while defending the Ring Air in federal court.

Global Rivalry and Future Horizons

In retaliation, Oura launched its Ring 4 in India last week, invading Ultrahuman's home turf where shipments fell 30.6% in 2025.

Despite the dip, Ultrahuman holds a 30.4% share in India amid rising competition and falling average prices to $160.

The U.S. comprises 45% of Ultrahuman's 700,000 global daily active users, highlighting its strategic importance.
