Singapore AI Startup RIDM Secures Seed Funding from The Invention Lab and QRT to Conquer Memory Wall with DODA

Singapore-based deep tech startup RIDM has completed a seed investment round led by South Korea's The Invention Lab, in partnership with London's Qube Research & Technologies (QRT).

Announced on February 27, 2026, the funding will accelerate commercialization of RIDM's groundbreaking DODA architecture targeting AI and high-performance computing challenges.

Breaking the Memory Wall in AI Computing

RIDM's Dynamically Orchestrated Dataflow Architecture (DODA) solves the persistent 'Memory Wall' bottleneck by enabling efficient dataflow in linear time using standard C++ programming.

Unlike CUDA-dependent systems, DODA offers a competitive, general-purpose development environment for spatial compilation.

Founded by engineers from the National University of Singapore (NUS), RIDM exclusively licenses three international patents stemming from NUS research.

Leadership and Strategic Proof of Concept

CEO Jin-ho Lee, who pursued a Ph.D. on dataflow architecture at NUS, leads the team driving this innovation.

NUS associate professor Trevor E. Carlson serves as technical advisor, bringing expertise from developing the multi-core simulator SniperSim.

Currently, RIDM conducts a proof-of-concept with QRT on FPGA acceleration for ultra-low latency and efficiency.

The Invention Lab CEO Jin-young Kim stated: "RIDM is a next-generation technology team that is directly breaking through the limitations of traditional computing structures. It is a bet on the technology itself, but also an expression of trust in the execution capabilities of the team that is realizing it and their balanced business judgment."
