SUMMYS VENTURES has been selected as one of the Semi-Finalists in the Impact Pitch Contest at the upcoming Generative AI Summit (GenAI/SUM) 2025, organized by Nikkei Inc. in Tokyo, Japan.
Led by CEO Marie Asami Fukase, the company stood out among numerous global applicants through an open call, jury evaluation, and public voting. It is also the only company from its home country to reach the semi-finals this year.
The team is developing an AI-driven ergonomics solution — Ergo AI — which leverages university research to predict and prevent workplace accidents in the manufacturing sector. The innovation aims to enhance industrial safety and efficiency by using generative AI to identify potential risks in real time.
Chief AI Officer Bong Hao Jie will deliver the presentation at Kudan Kaikan Terrace, Tokyo, on October 7.
“Being selected as a Semi-Finalist at GenAI/SUM 2025 is a major milestone for us. We’re committed to creating safer, smarter, and more sustainable workplaces through AI innovation — from Asia to the world”, mentioned CEO Marie Asami Fukase.
Beyond technology, the company is also driving cross-border collaboration between Japan and Southeast Asia. Recently, at the AI Salon in Kuala Lumpur, SUMMYS VENTURES introduced a cultural exchange featuring Nasi Lemak Onigiri — a creative blend of Japanese and Malaysian culture — while showcasing emerging AI innovations from the region.
With strong academic partnerships and active leadership in Build Club Tokyo, SUMMYS VENTURES continues to strengthen its role as a bridge connecting Japan and Southeast Asia’s growing AI ecosystems.
