Singapore's PDG Targets $5 Billion Debt Raise to Power Asia-Pacific Data Center Boom

Singapore-based data center operator Princeton Digital Group (PDG) is aiming to raise up to $5 billion in debt financing this year to support its expanding contracted capacity across Asia.
The firm recently secured a $350 million debt facility, expanding its previous $400 million HoldCo loan from May 2025 into a total $750 million sustainability-linked loan from a consortium of global banks.
PDG's Aggressive Expansion Plans
PDG operates in seven key markets with a portfolio exceeding 1.8 GW, positioning it as a major player in the region's hyperscale data center sector.
The new funding will accelerate development of under-construction capacity and new campuses, fulfilling commitments to hyperscale customers demanding massive AI-driven infrastructure.
Lenders including Barclays, BNP Paribas, Deutsche Bank, HSBC, SMBC, Societe Generale, and Standard Chartered underscore strong investor confidence in PDG's execution.
Sustainability and Market Leadership
Converting the facility to a sustainability-linked structure ties pricing to operational and green performance targets, highlighting PDG's commitment to eco-friendly data centers.
Rangu Salgame, PDG's Chairman, CEO, and Co-founder, stated that the expansion reflects partners' trust in the company's delivery excellence across markets.
Historically, PDG has grown rapidly since its founding, capitalizing on Asia's digital transformation and the surge in cloud computing needs from hyperscalers.
The $5 billion raise could significantly impact the Asia-Pacific market by alleviating capacity shortages amid booming AI and data demands.
Looking ahead, PDG's hyperscale platform will enable faster deployment of high-density facilities, supporting regional tech giants and startups alike.
This move positions PDG to capture a larger share of the projected $100 billion-plus data center investment wave in Asia by 2030.
