Singapore-based Singtel's Digital InfraCo unit has partnered with California-based Cohesity to launch a groundbreaking service enabling AI search on backup data.

The collaboration integrates RE:AI, Singtel's sovereign AI cloud platform, with Cohesity's advanced data security and indexing technology.

Transforming Backup Data into AI Powerhouses

This service allows enterprises and government agencies to catalogue and organize historical backup data for real-time search and querying.

AI applications can now leverage long-term historical context previously limited to recovery purposes.

It facilitates retrieval of archived information to reconstruct data at specific points in time for audits, investigations, and regulatory reporting.

Boosting Security in Regulated Sectors

The solution offers single-tenant and multi-tenant configurations to meet stringent security and compliance needs in finance, healthcare, and government.

In ransomware attacks, it aids incident response by identifying affected systems and isolating impacted data across backup histories.

The partnership extends Singtel's Centre of Excellence for Applied AI with NVIDIA, announced in February 2026, with Cohesity contributing R&D resources.
