Airwallex Yield Surpasses $1 Billion in Assets, Expands Treasury Solution to US Businesses

Singapore-headquartered fintech Airwallex has announced that its Yield treasury product has surpassed $1 billion in global assets under administration.

The company is now expanding Yield to the United States, enabling US businesses to earn competitive returns on idle cash.

Yield's Explosive Growth from Australia to Global Milestone

Launched just over two years ago in Australia, Yield quickly gained traction among small and medium-sized enterprises seeking better yields amid economic uncertainty.

These SMEs, often generating less than $10 million in annual revenue, have driven the product's rapid ascent by preferring US dollar holdings for stability.

Airwallex, founded in Melbourne in 2015, has grown into a global financial platform serving over 200,000 businesses worldwide.

Seamless Integration and Partnership with J.P. Morgan

Yield functions as a set-and-forget treasury account, automatically allocating idle funds into a AAA-rated money market fund managed by J.P. Morgan Asset Management.

This fund invests in US government securities, offering daily returns with near-instant liquidity and no minimum lock-up period.

Funds can seamlessly move between payments, payouts, corporate cards, and Yield accounts via a single dashboard.

“Topping $1 billion is a testament to the demand for a new kind of banking experience—one that is global, digital-first, and institutional-grade,” said Jack Zhang, co-founder and CEO of Airwallex.

Following a $330 million Series G funding round, Airwallex established San Francisco as its dual global headquarters.

With around 80 regulatory licenses across key regions, the expansion positions Yield as a superior alternative to traditional business savings accounts.

Looking ahead, Airwallex aims to further empower global businesses with higher returns and liquidity in volatile markets.
