Singapore-headquartered Zenyum and India-based MakeO, parent of Toothsi, have unveiled plans for a landmark merger to form Asia's premier consumer dental platform.

The transaction, described as a merger of equals, is slated to complete by the end of February 2026, pending regulatory approvals.

Rich Histories of Innovation

Zenyum, founded in 2017, has grown into a leader in clear aligners and oral care, serving Southeast Asia, North Asia, and the Middle East with 600 partner doctors.

The company has raised over $55 million in funding, highlighted by a $40 million Series B round led by L Catterton.

Meanwhile, MakeO Toothsi dominates India's orthodontic space with 500 partner doctors, over 50 dental centers, and more than $100 million in total funding.

Recent backing from celebrities Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma propelled MakeO to a $124 million valuation in its latest round.

The combined group will feature nearly 1,100 partner doctors across markets from the Middle East to Japan, including key hubs like India, Singapore, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.

Post-merger, Zenyum will integrate into MakeO's Indian holding company, with dual headquarters in Mumbai and Singapore for optimized operations.

Executives anticipate major synergies in supply chains, AI-driven technologies, and scalable efficiencies while keeping brands independent for consumers.
