Singapore AI Adoption Surges: 70% Productivity Boost Despite Rework Hurdles, Workday Survey Reveals

Organizations in Singapore are rapidly embracing AI technologies, with every surveyed entity confirming deployment according to a new Workday report.

However, about half of respondents dedicate at least one hour weekly to clarifying, correcting, or rewriting AI-generated outputs, while 12 percent spend two to four hours, curbing efficiency gains.

Net Productivity Gains Persist Amid Challenges

Despite the rework burden, seven in ten Singapore respondents report higher productivity levels compared to pre-AI eras.

The global survey of 3,200 included Singapore firms where 86 percent have rolled out three or more AI use cases.

Among those saving time via AI, 78 percent reinvest it in employee upskilling, training, or development.

Additionally, 68 percent redirect saved time toward higher-value strategic or innovative tasks.

Reinvesting AI Savings for Long-Term Impact

80% of AI cost savings are funneled back into the workforce, matching investments in technology.

Looking ahead, six in ten anticipate significantly higher output volumes post-AI adoption, with reduced stress and burnout reported by the same share.

Building on Singapore's Smart Nation history, experts stress prioritizing AI literacy and critical thinking to minimize future rework.
