Malaysian PE Powerhouse Creador Targets $1 Billion for Seventh Fund Launch in Q1 2027

Malaysia-headquartered private equity firm Creador is preparing to launch its seventh fund, aiming to raise a substantial $1 billion.
Founder and CEO Brahmal Vasudevan confirmed the fundraise will commence in the first quarter of 2027.
Creador's Proven Track Record
Since its establishment in 2011, Creador has successfully raised over $3 billion across six funds, investing in more than 60 companies.
The firm's sixth fund closed at an impressive $930 million last year, exceeding its $750 million target.
About 60% of the sixth fund is already committed to high-potential investments in Southeast Asia and India, including Long Chau in Vietnam and MR D.I.Y. in Thailand.
Strategic Focus and Regional Impact
Creador targets growth capital opportunities in South and Southeast Asia, capitalizing on young demographics, rising GDP per capita, and expanding middle classes.
Its diverse portfolio spans finance, retail, pharmacy, and convenience stores, powering companies like 7-Eleven Malaysia and BFI Finance.
The new fund promises to amplify economic growth, foster innovation, and create jobs across key markets like Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, and India.
With a typical three-year fundraising cycle, first close is anticipated in 2027, signaling strong investor confidence in Creador's strategy.
This ambitious raise underscores Creador's leadership in the Malaysian PE landscape and its vision for sustained regional dominance.
