South Korea's SK Innovation has unveiled plans to build a 1,500 MW LNG-fired power plant in Vietnam to bolster the nation's energy infrastructure.

The Quynh Lap LNG Thermal Power Plant, located in Nghe An province, represents a massive $2.3 billion investment aimed at completion by 2030.

SK Innovation is partnering with Vietnam Oil and Gas Power Corporation and Nghe An Sugar Company Limited for the development.
