Japan's Meiko Electronics Announces $50M Investment for New PCB Factory in Vietnam's Phu Tho Province

Japan's leading printed circuit board manufacturer, Meiko Electronics, is set to invest $50 million in establishing a new subsidiary in Vietnam.

The new entity, named Meiko Electronics Yen Quang, will be located in northern Phu Tho province to boost PCB production capacity.

This investment responds to surging customer needs for supply chain localization across the ASEAN region.

Existing factories in Vietnam are approaching full capacity, necessitating this additional facility.

The subsidiary's official establishment is scheduled for April 25, 2026.

Rich History of Commitment to Vietnam

Meiko Electronics first entered Vietnam in 2006 with its inaugural factory in Hanoi.

The company's latest expansion, its fifth factory, began construction in April 2024 in what was Hoa Binh province, now part of Phu Tho, with a $200 million outlay.
