The investment, executed through IndiGo Ventures in January, signals a bold entry into the electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) sector.

Unveiling the Shunya Air Taxi

Sarla's Shunya Air Taxi, a six-passenger eVTOL, targets urban routes with zero-emission flights.

The startup plans commercial launches in Bengaluru by 2028, utilizing existing helipads at hotels and tech parks.

Previously, Sarla secured $10 million in Series A1 funding from Accel and pre-seed from Campus Fund.
