Wipro Acquires Olam's Mindsprint IT Unit for $291M, Inks $1B AI-Driven Transformation Deal with Singapore Agribusiness Leader

Wipro, India's leading AI-powered technology firm, has agreed to acquire Mindsprint, the IT unit of Singapore's Olam Group, for S$375 million ($291 million) in cash.

In tandem with the acquisition, Wipro signed an eight-year transformation contract with Olam Group, featuring a committed annual spend of about $100 million, pushing the total engagement value beyond $1 billion.

Wipro Bolsters Agribusiness Tech Capabilities

Mindsprint employs over 3,200 professionals mainly in India and specializes in digital, cybersecurity, and supply chain solutions across food, agriculture, manufacturing, retail, and healthcare sectors.

The deal supports Olam Group's portfolio reorganization to streamline operations, sharpen focus on core agribusiness activities, and maximize shareholder value.

Wipro will deliver end-to-end transformation services using a consulting-led, AI-driven strategy throughout Olam Group's farm-to-fork value chain, from farming and manufacturing to trading, supply chain, and customer engagement.

This partnership aims to boost efficiency and resilience in the global agribusiness sector amid rising demands for digital innovation.

Historically, Mindsprint has been a pivotal technology ally in Olam Group's digital evolution, now scaling under Wipro's expansive AI expertise.

The acquisition highlights Wipro's aggressive expansion in Asia-Pacific, tapping into high-growth areas like agritech where digital solutions are transforming traditional supply chains.

Post-acquisition, Mindsprint will operate as a wholly owned Wipro subsidiary, retaining its leadership to ensure seamless continuity.

Subject to regulatory approvals, the transaction is slated to close by the end of June 2026.
