Grab Launches First Cross-Border Ride-Hail Pilot Between Singapore and Malaysia Today

Grab has secured the first Cross-Border Ride-Hail Service Operator License (CRSOL) from Singapore and Malaysia's transport ministries.

The new Cross-Border SG-JB (Beta) pilot kicks off today, May 4, 2026, allowing app-based bookings for door-to-door taxis across the border.

Users can book rides in advance from 12 hours to seven days ahead, with fixed upfront fares for predictability.

Singapore-licensed taxis can pick up anywhere in the city-state and drop off in key Johor areas like Johor Bahru, Iskandar Puteri, Forest City, Kulai, and Senai.

Return trips have designated pickup points to ensure smooth operations and regulatory compliance.
