DBS has expanded its Spark GenAI program in partnership with Enterprise Singapore and the Infocomm Media Development Authority to empower small and medium enterprises with AI tools.

A recent 2026 DBS Business Pulse Check Survey reveals that 39% of SMEs seek expert guidance on AI integration, prompting this timely enhancement.

Program Evolution and Historical Context

Originally launched in late 2024, the Spark GenAI initiative has evolved through iterative refinements based on client feedback over the past year.

This expansion aligns with Singapore's National AI Strategy 2.0, aiming to broaden AI uptake across enterprises for sustained economic growth.

Three-Tier Tailored Support Framework

The enhanced program introduces a three-tier structure, offering customized advisory and training based on each SME's AI maturity level.

Participants benefit from complimentary hands-on workshops by IMDA, access to its Open Innovation Platform connecting to over 16,000 global solution providers, and pre-approved AI solutions.

Financial and Implementation Incentives

Eligible SMEs can secure up to 50% grant funding from Enterprise Singapore for costs, alongside DBS' financial products like cyber protection to mitigate risks.

Quarterly DBS sessions will deliver AI trends, insights, and industry case studies to foster ongoing learning and application.
