Goertek Pumps $20M into Vietnam Factory Expansion for Camera Modules and UAV Production Boost

Chinese electronics giant Goertek has announced an additional $20 million investment in its Vietnam subsidiary to ramp up camera production.

The new funding, equivalent to VND527.1 billion, targets the factory in northern Bac Ninh province, increasing total project capital to $512.3 million.

Expansion Details and Production Surge

This infusion will boost annual camera output by 20 million units, reaching 32.5 million items altogether.

Production of earphones and accessories will also rise by 168,000 units annually.

Additionally, UAV manufacturing capacity jumps from 45,000 to 60,000 units under brands like WING/7000 WB MP3 and Wing Hummingbird 8000-A.

Goertek has poured approximately $1.3 billion into Vietnam across four entities by the end of 2025, solidifying its manufacturing footprint.

As a key supplier to Apple for AirPods and camera modules, the firm leverages Vietnam amid global supply chain diversification.
