Founded in early 2023 by Bret Taylor, former Salesforce co-CEO, and Google alum Clay Bavor, Sierra focuses on conversational AI agents for enterprise use.

The company has raised over $630 million, achieving a $10 billion valuation backed by top investors like Sequoia and Benchmark.

Prominent customers including Casper, Clear, and Brex already leverage Sierra's technology for customer service automation.

Fragment, emerging from Y Combinator, helps businesses seamlessly embed AI into their operational workflows.

The startup had secured approximately $2 million in seed funding, positioning it as a promising player in Europe's AI scene.

This deal follows Sierra's recent buys of Japan-based Opera Tech and voice agent firm Receptive AI in late March.

In a blog post, Taylor and Bavor highlighted that the Fragment founders will add "valuable strength" to agent development efforts in France.
