AirTrunk Opens Asia Regional Headquarters in Singapore, Boosting Hyperscale Data Center Expansion

AirTrunk, Australia's premier hyperscale data center operator, has officially unveiled its new regional headquarters in Singapore.

The cutting-edge office is located at the Ocean Financial Center, recognized as a BCA Green Mark Platinum Super Low Energy Building.

A Decade of Strategic Presence in Singapore

AirTrunk first entered Singapore in 2016, and this headquarters opening commemorates ten years of operations in the region.

Over the years, the company has poured several billion dollars into three hyperscale facilities, delivering a total 180MW IT load capacity.

In August 2025, AirTrunk secured a groundbreaking S$2.25 billion green loan to fund its second Singapore data center, SGP2, marking the largest such financing for a data center in the city-state.

Singapore as APAC Digital Gateway

Singapore positions itself as a vital gateway for AirTrunk's Asia-Pacific growth and a global hub for digital infrastructure.

The new headquarters will accommodate senior executives and teams spanning design, innovation, development, operations, treasury, legal, and corporate functions.

Robin Khuda, Founder and CEO of AirTrunk, emphasized Singapore's pivotal role in the firm's strategy amid surging hyperscale demand driven by AI.

Pee Beng Kong, Executive Vice President at the Singapore Economic Development Board, praised the decision as affirmation of Singapore's tech hub status.

AirTrunk projects significant workforce expansion in the coming years, solidifying Singapore as its Asia headquarters.

This move aligns with Singapore's National AI Strategy 2.0 and S$1 billion investment in AI, catering to low-latency workloads and robust governance.
