AirTrunk has secured a landmark $1.24 billion green loan to accelerate development of its hyperscale data center campus in Tokyo.

The JP¥191.6 billion financing will refinance existing facilities and fund capital expenditures for upcoming phases at the TOK1 site in East Tokyo.

Key Players in the Green Financing Deal

Led by SMBC, MUFG, Crédit Agricole CIB, and Société Générale, the loan features 12 banks as mandated lead arrangers.

Structured under AirTrunk's Green Financing Framework, it promotes stringent energy efficiency and directs margin incentives to the company's Social Impact Fund.

AirTrunk's Growing Footprint in Japan

The TOK1 campus, scalable to over 300MW, recently added more than 100MW of IT load to support demanding cloud and AI workloads.
