About the Role
Are you passionate about blending creativity with functionality? Join us as a Furniture Design Intern and bring ideas to life — from sketch to setup! 💡✏️ The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of design principles, materials, and fabrication techniques to develop innovative, functional, and aesthetically pleasing furniture pieces. You will work closely with internal design team to bring concepts from sketches to final production.
Key Responsibilities
🛋️ Design innovative and trend-aligned furniture that is optimized for durability, reusability, and easy maintenance, keeping in mind the wear & tear typical in rental usage.
🔧 Review and improve existing furniture items to enhance structural strength, ease of transport and assembly and visual appeal.
🧩 Suggest smart add-ons to boost product life & versatility.
📐 Create detailed technical drawings (CAD/manual) for both new designs and existing product improvements.
🤝 Collaborate with vendors for materials & quality checks
📍 Conduct site visits to ensure proper execution and resolve on-site issues promptly.
📊 Prepare detailed cost breakdowns for each design and improvement project, covering:
- Material costs
- Manufacturing/labor charges
- Logistics and installation estimates.
