What You’ll Do:
In one sentence: Do all it takes to build Pingo into the default way to learn languages.
- Own lesson experience, memory/long-form context, and personalized learning journeys.
- Relentlessly iterate on retention and engagement — every feature you ship will directly impact how long people stay on Pingo.
- Build systems to track + improve product and AI performance across millions of daily learning interactions.
- Track, diagnose, and resolve stability issues at scale (99.9% uptime goal).
- Optimize real-time AI pipelines for sub-1s p95 response times.
What we’re looking for:
- Comfortable building and shipping across React Native (iOS/Android), Node.js/Express, Supabase.
- Experience working with AI models.
- Writes clean, maintainable code and sets a high engineering bar; nothing ships broken.
- Strong product sense — makes well-reasoned decisions and builds features that feel instant and magical.
- Detail-oriented & obsessed with learning experience – you deeply care about stability, polish, and real learning impact.
About the Job:
- In-person in SF w/ the founders, we work six days a week
- $150K–$250k cash comp + 0.5-1% equity
