Design Intern
Design Intern, Autonomous App Studio
We’re building an AI-native app studio that designs, launches, and markets a portfolio of consumer apps. The goal is simple: move fast, make useful products, and learn from the market by shipping real apps.
This is not a “make one deck and wait for feedback” design internship. You’ll work across lots of app ideas: accountability apps, wake-up apps, fitness, meditation, AI friends, finance behavior tools, personality quizzes, college/career tools, and more. One week you might design onboarding and paywalls for a consumer mobile app; the next, you might be mapping a retention loop, redesigning an app store listing, or turning rough product ideas into polished prototypes.
What You’ll Do
- Design mobile app flows, screens, prototypes, and visual systems across multiple new apps
- Research competitor apps, onboarding flows, paywalls, App Store listings, TikTok/Instagram trends, and UX patterns
- Turn rough product ideas into clear, usable concepts that can actually be built
- Create Figma mockups for onboarding, core product loops, settings, empty states, paywalls, and launch screens
- Work with builders using AI tools, Deep24, Codex, and other modern workflows to move from idea to shipped product quickly
- Help create marketing visuals, app store screenshots, short-form content concepts, and landing page directions
- Build a portfolio of real shipped products instead of theoretical class projects
You’ll Be A Great Fit If
- You’re excited by consumer apps, mobile UX, and internet-native product design
- You can move quickly without waiting for perfect instructions
- You care about taste, clarity, retention, and what makes an app feel addictive or useful
- You like studying great apps and figuring out why their onboarding, paywalls, loops, and visuals work
- You’re comfortable using AI tools as part of your design and research process
- You want unusually high ownership for an internship
Why This Role Is Different
Most design internships put you on one narrow product surface. Here, you’ll get reps across many apps. You’ll see the full studio loop: research, concept, prototype, build, launch, market, measure, repeat.
If you want to become dramatically better at designing real products, this is a high-repetition environment. You’ll leave with shipped work, sharper product instincts, and a portfolio that shows range.
