About Cozmo
Cozmo is the AI operating system for property claims. When a pipe bursts in someone's home at 2am, our agents answer the call, capture the loss, enter the claim into Xactimate and Cotality, dispatch the right contractor against SLA, chase acceptances before breach and draft the carrier-ready estimate from field photos. We run both halves of a claims operation: everything the customer touches and everything that happens behind the desk.
Our customers are restoration franchisors, TPAs and adjusting firms whose boards have told them to become AI-native and who have no way to do it themselves. Our anchor is one of the largest restoration franchisors in the US.
The role
You will be the person who takes a signed contract and turns it into an AI agent running a live claims operation. You own the build from kickoff to go-live: scoping the customer's intake and dispatch workflows, designing agent behavior, writing evals and guardrails, wiring integrations into Xactimate, Cotality, Zendesk and phone systems, testing against real loss calls, then sitting in the war room on launch day watching the first claims flow through.
This is the founding hire for the function. You will work directly with both the founders.
What you'll do
- Own agent builds zero to one: scope, design, configure, test, launch, iterate in production
- Embed with customer operations teams, sit with their dispatchers and estimators, map how a claim moves through their business and translate that into agent behavior
- Build integrations and tooling yourself. Write the scripts, the prompt chains, the routing logic, the fallbacks.
- Run go-lives against hard dates with named executives watching
- Turn every manual step you take once into playbook, tooling or product so the next customer never repeats it
- Feed what you learn in the field straight into the platform roadmap with our CTO
What we look for
- You can code, design and build products. Python or TypeScript, APIs, webhooks, reading someone else's data model and making it behave. You do not need to be a platform engineer. You need to never be blocked waiting for one
- You are a power user of AI tools, and you use them to move at a pace that unsettles people
- Evidence of hustle we can verify: something you built, a company you started, a deployment you saved, a customer who would take your call at midnight
- Comfortable in ambiguity, with executives and with dispatchers, in the same afternoon
- Low ego. The claim getting handled is the win
How we work
We are a small team racing incumbents with hundred times our headcount, and intensity is our only structural advantage, which means it is not a typical 9-5. Compensation
Competitive salary plus meaningful founding-level equity. We pay for talent and we weight equity heavily because we want owners.
