Tom Varghese

My name is Tom Varghese. I am an orthodontist and business strategist by training, with a resolute sense of passion for innovation and business growth strategies. I currently work as a Research Analyst with the New Zealand Manuka Group, carrying out a product development project for them.
I am also in the midst of the final few months of my Masters program at the University of Auckland. I am part of the very unique Master of Bioscience Enterprise (MBE) program. It is an interdisciplinary research Masters degree that blends the best of Science, Business and Law to give science graduates, such as myself the skills to move with confidence in the business world.
Through my time at the University of Auckland, I have been exposed to business models and strategies at a number of well established and start-up New Zealand businesses such as Fisher & Paykel Healthcare, AFT Pharma, Mint Innovation, Dotterel, Pictor, Canterbury Scientific, Les Mills and Caldera Heath. My core interests lie with Innovation, Business development, Market Analysis, Strategy Development and Entrepreneurship commercialisation.
