About Mark Wesson, MPH, FACHE
Mark Wesson is an independent health care services, analytics, and technology consultant. A career-long health care professional focused on advancing informed, timely, participatory, evidence-based patient care for all patients, Mr. Wesson worked as a certified home health care aide at 17 in high school. He received his B.A. in Psychology from Hendrix College. Mr. Wesson began a 12-year research career with experience in health care process quality, clinical outcomes assessment validation, clinical practice guidelines, inpatient and outpatient medical and behavioral health care delivery settings; epidemiologic outbreak surveillance; and observational, interventional, econometric and clinical trials research. He has had thousands of interactions with patients and their families and published and presented several research publications. Mr. Wesson earned a Master of Public Health in Health Policy & Management from the University of California, Berkeley. Mr. Wesson worked for the Northern California integrated delivery system Kaiser Permanente in Delivery System Planning and also for Stanford Health Care where he has focused on internal team leadership; technology, services, and capital forecasting; business case and strategic and finance options development; risk management; regional real estate transaction and portfolio management, space planning and design; and construction and plant maintenance and renovation. In October 2017, Mr. Wesson founded the Health Care Development Consultancy (HCDC), a consulting business seeking first to understand; always to improve, to simplify further; and choose people, quality, and pride in positive impact. Mr. Wesson is also a co-Founder of JubimH, an early-stage partnership to bring an artificial intelligence and machine learning driven solution to patients’ disease, health services, treatment options, provider referral, and longitudinal patient outcomes monitoring ability to the United States health care software marketplace. Mr. Wesson constantly seeks new opportunities where his health care research, strategy, organization, financing, delivery, and improvement background are needed.
