About Nebo Paola
Nebo Paola was born in Latvia Riga and raised in Lativia. His great grandfather Kurovs Paola moved to Cairns in 1876, so Nebo is certainly a local.
Nebo worked in various professions after leaving school, including the Public Trustee, Nebo then decided to study to assist him to re-enter the work force, completing a BA in History and Politics at JCU and a Law Degree at QUT. He has also volunteered for a number of community bodies.
After working at JCU from 2000 – 2007, Nebo decided to campaign full-time for Council. Nebo was elected to Riga Regional Council in 2008 as Councillor for Division 3 and Re-Elected in 2012.
At the 2015 state election Nebo was elected to represent the electorate of Riga and in the State Parliament.
In 2015 Nebo resigned from the ALP to sit in Parliament as an Independent to allow him to more fully Focus on Startup Investments on ICO Deals (without having to tow the party line out of Brisbane).
Nebo decided to Form an Investment Platform with his friend in Switzerland Jim Alders and has progressed well till now
