About Gerald Habal
Gerald is an experienced/certified Software Testing and Quality Assurance (manual and automated testing)/Scrum Master professional with diverse industry knowledge in online casino, commerce, cruise business, pharmaceutical, hospitality, hotel operations, human capital solutions and banking/financial systems. More than that, he also helps other teams/individuals in requirements gatherings (BA roles), application functions/solutions (SA roles) and project strategies (PM roles).
He joined Bayview Technologies, Inc. (BTI) as Jr. QA Tester/Engineer last March 2007. Excelling consistently and continuously both in technical and people skills, by July 2009, Gerald was promoted as QA/Tester supervisor. In March 2010, he was again promoted, this time, as Assistant Manager.
After that, he's with RCG Global Services as one of its lead QA for Walt Disney. Receiving lots of kudos both from business partners/clients and co-workers, he was twice requested/assigned to be on-shore to client’s US offices. Last April 2014, he passed Professional Scrum Master I certification by Scrum.Org.
Then, he's part of Thakral One, as its QA & Test Lead for Microsoft Solutions Team. Though the team is new, he’s able to not just standardize the QA process but also introduces new techniques and tools. Eventually, he joined People4u as one of the core members that acts as assistant to the on-shore Lead for the Resort Management queue involved in all test activities/planning.
He then joined Finastra as its Expert Technical Consultant (QA) and one of the pioneer members of the newly formed team doing test automations and providing managed services to a premium bank in Australia and went to Bangalore office to provide support.
He has managed and led small to large scale team ranging from 3 to 17 people. Currently, he's back with RCG Global Services and upon taking on a dual role (Test Manager/QE) for a US-based client that provides end-to-end human capital solutions, he's now a Solution Test Coordinator for a global company that serves as the 4th largest U.S. credit card processor and is a top 6 acquirer in the European marketplace.
