Betatron Venture Group

Betatron is a startup investment firm and accelerator program which invests up to US$500,000 into circa 15-20 startups per year.

We run a four-month acceleration program which focuses on helping each startup raise their next funding round and accelerating business growth. The program is based in Hong Kong but only requires physical attendance for a total of 3x two week periods.

Betatron organizes a roadshow in Asia and North America for our startups including Demo Days in Hong Kong, Singapore and San Francisco.

Betatron was founded in 2016 by a group of the leading Venture Capital firms in Hong Kong, including Mindworks Ventures, Vectr Ventures, Cocoon Ignite Ventures, the Aria Group, IC Studio, and Incu-Lab.

Location
​Betatron itself is based in Hong Kong and leverages the resources available in the China Greater Bay Area. We source start-ups globally and our 
portfolio is becoming increasingly diverse from a geographical perspective.

Our focus
Betatron invests in promising start-ups across industry verticals. We focus on technology companies with a scalable business model and a large addressable market. Our objective is to help grow the companies and prepare them for large institutional funding rounds. We invest in circa 20 companies per year.

Follow-on financing achieved
For every US$ invested by Betatron, our start-ups have received more than 15 times of follow-on investments on average so far. Most of it has been achieved within one year of joining Betatron.

Our brand recognition in the start-up ecosystem
Betatron was recently nominated in the category for 'Outstanding Contribution to the Asian Startup Ecosystem 2019'. With over 16,000 votes being cast, Betatron won the 1st place for Greater China and 2nd place for All-Asia.
