MBK Partners Buyouts acquires companies through management-led buyouts, buys subsidiary businesses through corporate divestitures, partners with strategic buyers, takes publicly listed companies private and purchases and grows companies through add-on acquisitions. While the firm makes complex acquisitions in various forms, our strategy is simple and focused: we do buyouts in North Asia. We focus on control investments because we believe control is essential to creating value. We may also pursue selected minority investments where we can add strategic value. We limit our investment activities to China, Japan, and Korea on the basis of our competitive advantage in these markets.

MBK Partners Special Situations invests in customized, secured lending, secondary credit investments in stressed and distressed opportunities, and non-control structured equity investments.

The MBK Partners investment team works closely with management to develop strategy, optimize capital structure, adopt global best practices in operations, controls and corporate governance and pursue strategic growth opportunities to build value.
