After over a decade of successful early stage investing in Texas, in 2012, Krishna Srinivasan and Venu Shamapant founded LiveOak based on a conviction that Texas had all the DNA for a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem. They believed that a venture capital firm that was maniacally focused on Texas entrepreneurs could be the key catalyst to harness the full potential of this market and build category dominating companies of the future.

Today Texas is indeed a vibrant center for entrepreneurship, enabled by the combination of a strong and growing talent pool and an active early-stage investment ecosystem.
