Bottom-Up, Fundamental Investing
We believe that we can uncover the most insightful investment information by using a bottom-up based approach to focus on companies over countries. Our many years of Latin American investment experience provide us with a deep understanding of the economic and political trends of the region and inform our investment decisions.
Contrarian Approach with Long-Term Focus
As long-term contrarian investors, we seek to invest in companies that are mispriced due to temporary factors or underappreciated long-term growth potential. We find many of these companies in the small and mid-cap company universe and in off-index countries.
Favor Companies with Strong Business Franchises
We prefer companies with strong business franchises that are domestically focused, have sustainable advantages, and are subject to low levels of government regulation. We believe these companies are well-positioned to benefit from Latin America’s secular consumer growth story.
