Helsana HealthInvest: Enabling Healthcare Innovation
As a subsidiary of leading Swiss health insurance provider Helsana, we have been investing in start-ups and venture funds in digital health across Europe since 2021. Our goal is to improve efficiency and the provision of care in the Swiss healthcare system.
Helsana has a greater presence in Switzerland’s health insurance sector than any other insurer: 1.4 million people and 60,000 corporate clients are insured with Helsana. Our portfolio companies receive insights, access to the ecosystem, and the opportunity to collaborate with Helsana and its partners.
Our investment criteria
Our investment activities focus on start-ups that improve patients’ access to healthcare. We invest in companies that can demonstrate traction with a scalable business model and are already active in or want to enter the Swiss market.

- Initial ticket size: CHF 1–5 million
- Geography: Europe, with a focus on DACH, Benelux and the Nordics
