About Global Agora, LLC.
The current iteration of Global Agora was founded in 2009 as a venture capital fund which launches its own disruptive companies and buys out seed-stage, high-growth potential startups. With offices in Austin, Los Angeles, Miami Beach, and New York City, the firm is operated by NICK MATZORKIS and JOSHUA KELLER. The two first met performing on national television on The Tyra Banks Show in 2006 when their band, THE CLIPBANDITS, considered the first-ever Internet band because its members didn’t know each other and had never met, became a viral phenomenon and gained worldwide notoriety. Their serendipitous meeting led to Matzorkis and Keller’s lasting partnership. Lifelong entrepreneurs in a wide range of fields including digital marketing, Internet search engines, wireless technologies, software development, entertainment, music, water sports, and spirits, they build exciting ground-breaking companies that transform people’s lives. Global Agora companies generate over $100 million in annual revenues.
Previously, Nick Matzorkis founded the original Global Agora in 1999, as a WAP technology platform that enabled wireless Internet shopping in mainland China for the first time.
