True outlier startups are pre-determined by the intensity they set during this time. Brickyard is for serious, top-tier teams to build away from the noise and focus every watt of their energy on reaching escape velocity.

• We see thousands of decks/year, and invest in 10-12.
• We invest $100-$500k into technical teams at pre-seed/seed.
• Teams move here to focus & build IRL. Avg. stay is 24 months.
• All our teams travel for work but Brickyard isn’t part-time. Burn the ships.
• We house 20-25 portcos on a rolling basis, at no cost to those who get in.
• We have nothing to do with/ economic development + zero expectation to HQ here.
• We’re not an accelerator— there is no formal programming or demo day.
• Success at Brickyard is not raising more money.
• Success here is reaching $1.5 - $3m in sales. Focus, & exit the Trough.
• Our teams run this place. Brickyard partners are just useful accessories.
• We don’t make sense for everyone, and that’s ok.

We don’t “ask” anyone to move here to build this way. Brickyard applicants self-select to have a chance at building in a tight, competitive community of teams who all cut the b/s in order to beat the trough.
