About Atland Ventures
Atland Ventures is a student-run Venture Capital firm managed by students of the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. The organization counts on the support of the Twin Cities’ most experienced venture capitalists and on the thought leadership of University of Minnesota professors.
Atland Ventures aims to foster the entrepreneurial development of the Minnesota community by funding and supporting early stage companies that leverage disruptive technologies, while providing our students with a real-world experience in Venture Capital.
In 2015, a group of University of Minnesota Twin Cities students formed a group with the intent of providing students an active learning experience in Venture Capital and early-stage investing.
Launched in 2018, Atland Ventures is a Venture Capital firm managed by University of Minnesota students. Counting on a diverse educational background, our students perform investment analysis and due diligence, make investment decisions, manage a portfolio, and connect founders with the strong entrepreneurial ecosystem of the Twin Cities.
In 2019, we successfully raised over $1,000,000 for Atland Fund I. Investors include; University of Minnesota Alumni, Entrepreneurs, and Midwest-Focused Angels.
