AMINO Capital is a venture firm based in Palo Alto, focusing on seed to growth-stage investments in data-driven technology startups that later became unicorns, such as Grail, Webflow, Weee!, Chime Bank, Rippling, Dfinity, etc.
We are also early backers of next-generation blockchain protocol since 2013 and led the seed and A round of String Labs, which incubated one the most anticipated ICOs in 2018, DFINITY. We participated in pre-sales and ICO of DFINITY, NuCypher, Kyber, 0X, Grid+, OmiseGo, which later became known as the first ICO unicorn.
The firm was founded in 2012 by a unique team of over 80 technology executives and innovators from Google, Facebook, Yahoo, Tencent, Alibaba, U of Chicago, Stanford U, Tsinghua U and et al. Since inception, the firm has invested over 130 seed-stage companies, following with additional investments in series A and B. Until today, there are 6 full-time partners based in Palo Alto, with additional 12 team members between Palo Alto and Asia.
