1955 Capital’s mission is to invest in advanced technologies with the potential to solve these pressing global problems. The firm was announced in 2016 by Andrew Chung, a former general partner at Khosla Ventures and investor at Lightspeed Ventures, who has rare experience and success investing in health and sustainability. Our diverse and inclusive team combines strong domain expertise, operating experience, and a history of commercializing technologies globally.

1955’s thesis-driven approach is built on our deep experience and global network in these world-positive areas. This has led to investments in 12 portfolio companies that have already raised several hundred million in follow-on capital, top-quartile performance since inception, and the opportunity to collaborate with top global co-investors.
