About Justyne Dobrucki
I briefly studied Photonics what feels like eons ago. I have some really neat ideas related to that field, and my current field (construction science) but lack the practical photonics skills to bring them to fruition.
I began really fleshing one of these ideas out in a college entrepreneurship class. The teacher (who also runs the college's entrepreneurship hub) was enthusiastic as long as I could prove the premise (the same one a remote control works on). I did and was offered all the resources the college had to offer. Though I've graduated I still have access to some, most importantly lab space and equipment.
I was also able to secure funding for photocells to use in prototyping. I had a photonics technician working with me at the time but he has repeatedly been unreliable. I'm sure replacing him will be a long shot, but here it is.
I've also been on contract with a regional startup incubator since the college took interest in my idea. They allowed me to have a complimentary meeting with a patent lawyer, who was very enthusiastic about this project (and the projects that will naturally evolve from it). I subsequently purchased a few hours of his time to complete a formal patent search. While it determined that the general idea is covered by other IP, the specific idea that I have is not.
In addition to the above, I have a healthy knowledge of company culture. As I lack the skills to build the technical side of this company, I have invested most of my time in beginning to define the company culture. (If I actually have to explain to you how important culture is to a company I don't want to work with you.)
If you are interested in hearing a bit more and explore working together feel free to contact me.
