Product Design Intern

Internship

If you would like to experience the process of building a product from scratch, take ownership of releasing new features, and see the tangible impact of your actions – this position is perfect for you. Expect to work directly with the founders to build a product that can change the lives and career paths of millions of millennials all over Asia. What you can expect to work on: - Gather user feedback: Conduct user interviews with employers and jobseekers to understand how we can improve the user experience and better address their needs. Translate insights from user interviews into product features or iterations. Ideate on solutions to solve user challenges. - UI / UX design: Design effective and user-friendly product screens across desktop and mobile devices. - Manage end-to-end implementation process: Work closely with our tech team to ensure product design and requirements are clearly communicated. - Product testing: Ensure that the end-product is consistent with product design and meets the business goals and user needs. Key skills that you’ll pick up: - Product management and managing a product roadmap - Master widely used industry tools for product design, including Sketch, Figma, Zeplin, Invision - User interview skills - Effective communication with engineering team - Lean Startup methodology and the build-measure-learn loop What we’re looking for: - Experience working with Figma: You’ve designed user interfaces using Figma in school projects / past internships. You can design clean user interfaces across multiple devices with an emphasis on the end-user’s interaction with the product. If you have no prior experience with Figma, experience with Sketch or Photoshop will be useful. - Understand UI/UX design principles: Here’s a quick primer – https://link.medium.com/UV0bT95SoY - Basic front-end development: You are familiar with Chrome developer tools and have a basic knowledge of CSS. - Strong communication skills: You are able to conduct user interviews independently. If you have the eagerness to learn, you’ll go the extra mile to pick up the required skills, proactively ask questions, and work at it until you get things right. - Ability to learn fast: You just need to be briefed once and you’re ready to go. What you can expect to work on: • Take charge of the product roadmap: Develop strategy and roadmap for future new/existing platform features and internal systems to fulfil user requirements. Translate product strategies and data insights into actionable product requirements. • Manage overall product development: Work closely with our tech team to scope and prioritise product development based on business and users impact. Ensure product design and requirements are clearly communicated. Manage project deadlines and ensure product development is on track. • Drive growth: Build growth loops into the product based on learnings from existing user activity, to optimise the product for conversion & retention of users. • Define metrics and KPI: To measure the success of new product features. Track and analyse metrics to draw actionable insights. • Analyse data to uncover user behaviour: Hunt for insights in data collected from various sources and research to develop continuous actionable improvements to drive growth and improve customer experience. • Gain a deep understanding of customer and user experience: Conduct user interviews with employers and jobseekers to understand how they are interacting with our site and user feedback, to improve the user experience and better address their needs. Translate insights from user interviews into product features or iterations. Ideate on solutions to solve user challenges. • Product testing: Ensure that the end-product is consistent with product design and meets the business goals and user needs. Ensure continuous app improvement through A/B testing of new features and different UI/UX designs. What we’re looking for: • Experience in product management: You’ve managed the end-to-end implementation of a product, run a product roadmap, worked with engineers before, and understand the high-level and nitty gritties of product management. • Experience in UI/UX: You understand UI/UX design principles, how to develop effective and easy-to-use experiences. Experience with visual design, principles of UI design, layouts, graphics development, typography, colour design theory • Knowledge of wire-framing tools: Sketch, Zeplin, Invision, Chrome developer tools • Strong communication skills: You are able to effectively communicate your design and rationale with the team, and align different stakeholders on the product roadmap. • Attention to detail: You are sensitive to missing full-stops or font sizes that are off even by 2 pts. • Goal-oriented: You thrive in an environment where you can take ownership of a goal, and will do what it takes to achieve the goal. • Singaporean, PR or have a valid work authorisation: TalentTribe is not able to provide work sponsorship visas for applicants. What you can expect to work on: Take ownership of driving employer acquisition – your goal is to grow the number of jobs and companies on the TalentTribe job platform (https://talenttribe.asia/jobs). • Manage and implement B2B email marketing campaigns – Manage email campaigns for employer acquisition. Run A/B tests on email campaigns to optimise email marketing. • Develop new B2B marketing initiatives that drive acquisition – You have the space to propose, develop, manage and implement new initiatives that drive employer acquisition. Review results to optimise initiatives for greater outcomes. See the direct impact of your efforts as the number of jobs and companies grow. • Analyse employer data and success metrics – Analyse employer data and track success metrics. Based on your analysis, develop strategies that drive employer acquisition, increase success metrics, and iterate the product to improve user experience. • Maintain fruitful relationships and continuous engagement with existing customers –Keep employers updated via email campaigns, and support employers to make the best use of the TalentTribe platform. You know your way around vlookup, plotting charts and graphs, etc. • Eager to learn – It’s alright if you don’t have much experience, but everything is a learning opportunity to you. You proactively ask questions, seek out opportunities to further develop your skills, and put in extra effort until you get things right. • Ability to learn fast – You just need to be briefed once and you’re ready to go.
