Reddit has revealed plans for more acquisitions following a stellar fourth-quarter earnings report, targeting adtech and other strategic areas to fuel growth.
CFO Andrew Vollero stated during the earnings call that the company is "looking to buy capabilities, technologies, and companies" to leverage its massive user base or expand it further.

This approach builds on Reddit's history of successful "tuck-in" acquisitions in adtech, which have accelerated product launches by saving months in development time.
Past deals include the 2024 purchase of Memorable AI to boost advertising tools, alongside 2022 acquisitions like Spell for AI machine learning and Spiketrap for enhanced ad targeting.
Other key buys that year were Oterlu for moderation tools and MeaningCloud for text analytics, all contributing to improved monetization as an ad-supported platform.

The Q4 results showcased $726 million in revenue, with $690 million from advertising, and daily active users reaching 121.4 million, up 19% year-over-year.
Earnings per share hit $1.24, surpassing estimates and providing ample capital for future deals.
These acquisitions have been "one of the secrets of our success," Vollero noted, highlighting their role in scaling opportunities across a spectrum of business needs.
