THE Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) said it is cooperating with the Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia and Philippines East Asean Growth Area (BIMP-Eaga) region to have the Philippines’s halal-certifying bodies recognized internationally.

The head of one of the major business groups in the Philippines stressed this “Because right now, they’re not being recognized.

Whatever they certify in the Philippines, our foreign members do not accept it like Qatar, Saudi Arabia, they don’t recognize the certifying body.
