Freeform, a California-based manufacturing technology startup, has raised $67 million in a Series B funding round led by NVIDIA’s venture arm, NVentures, with participation from Founders Fund, Two Sigma Ventures, and other investors.
Advancing AI-Native Factory Systems
Freeform integrates robotics, sensing, simulation, and machine learning to build flexible, AI-native manufacturing systems.
The company focuses on bridging the gap between rapid product design and slower physical production by using data-driven processes and real-time simulations to improve metal 3D printing performance.
Its approach aims to move beyond rigid, single-purpose production lines toward more adaptable systems capable of handling complex designs and materials.
Expanding Capacity with Next-Generation Platform
Freeform plans to launch Skyfall, its next-generation factory platform, in the first half of 2026. The system is expected to significantly increase throughput compared to its current GoldenEye platform.
The new capital will support hiring efforts in Hawthorne, California, and facility expansion as the company scales operations to meet growing customer demand.
NVIDIA’s Strategic Bet on Industrial AI
NVIDIA’s participation aligns with its broader push into robotics, simulation, and AI infrastructure that supports industrial automation and advanced manufacturing.
As interest grows in applying artificial intelligence to real-world production environments, Freeform is positioning itself at the intersection of AI and hardware-driven manufacturing innovation.
