NCSOFT teams up with Vietnamese unicorn VGN for SE Asia

South Korea’s gaming behemoth NCSOFT Corp.set up a joint venture with Vietnamese tech unicorn VNG Corp.to tap into Southeast Asia starting from the release of its popular mobile massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) Lineas2M this year.

The joint venture is set to introduce NCSOFT’s games to six major countries in the region such as Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and the Philippines.“NCV Games will serve as a pivotal foundation for NCSOFT to deliver new, innovative experiences in the Southeast Asian market,” said NCSOFT founder and CEO Kim Taek-jin.
