E3Hubs to Host Conference for Entrepreneurship in Penang this December
A major conference for entrepreneurship will be taking place in Penang this year, aiming to attract entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds, including women, youth, and startups.
The conference, also known as eBizStart 2024, is organized by entrepreneurial community E3 Hubs and their strategic partners, making it one of the first-ever hybrid events of the year.
The conference will officially launch with an address by YB Dato' Haji Rashidi Bin Zinol, Exco of Trade, Entrepreneurial Development, and Rural Affairs. It marks a new initiative by the state to strengthen entrepreneurship and business ecosystems through knowledge-sharing and networking platforms.
The virtual segment will run from 2nd to 5th December, followed by two days of in-person activities on 6th and 7th December at Masco Co-working Space, Prangin Mall. Organizers expect between 3,000 and 3,500 participants to attend the sessions, making it one of the largest entrepreneurship events held in Penang to date.
Key sessions will include panel discussions with industry experts, hands-on workshops, and business clinics offering personalized guidance. Participants will also have opportunities to network with peers and explore products and services at 30 exhibitor booths. The hybrid format is intended to engage both local and international entrepreneurs, accommodating participants unable to attend in person.
The event’s agenda reflects a growing emphasis on empowering underrepresented groups, particularly women, youth, and emerging business founders. Organizers hope the conference will provide these groups with essential resources, skills, and networks needed to succeed in an increasingly competitive environment.
eBizStart 2024 will conclude with the Effectuators Nite Appreciation Dinner, celebrating the achievements of entrepreneurs, partners, and sponsors involved in the event. Further information on registration and sponsorships is available on the event registration page here.
