Major Digital Nomad & Startups Gathering to take place in Japan this October

Startups planning to enter Japan and Digital Nomads who love traveling will love this upcoming series of events happening this Autumn.

This coming October, Fukuoka will transform into a global hub for digital nomads, startups, and innovators as the city hosts Colive Fukuoka 2024. 

Organized by yugyo Inc. and supported by the Fukuoka City government, this month-long event is set to be one of Asia’s largest gatherings for remote workers and entrepreneurs.

Running from October 1st to October 31st (Main week from 23rd to 31st), Colive Fukuoka will bring together over 200 digital nomads and startups from around the world for a unique mix of networking, learning, and cultural exchange. 

Themed “Co-create and Celebrate a Global Community in Asia”, the event aims to foster collaboration and spark new ideas.

Key highlights include the “COLIVE FUKUOKA2024 World Nomad Conference” from October 23 to 25, featuring renowned tidying expert Marie Kondo. Known for her “life-changing” approach to organization, Kondo will deliver a keynote on October 23rd, offering practical tips to enhance the digital nomad lifestyle.

Event Highlights and Activities

Throughout the month, attendees can participate in various events, which include the following taking place during the Main Week:

• World Nomad Conference (October 23-25): Industry leaders from coworking, co-living, and digital nomad communities will discuss trends and best practices.
• Synapus Festival (October 26-27): A cultural fusion event on Noko Island that blends music, art, and food, showcasing Asian and global influences.
• Softlanding for Startups (October 28-29): Aimed at entrepreneurs exploring the Japanese or Asian markets, this program provides insights and tours of local startup ecosystems.

Cultural experiences such as sake brewery tours, meditation sessions, and street food nights will also be held throughout the month, offering participants a taste of local life in Fukuoka and Kyushu.
